Beam Ceiling Construction

6/2/2018 This is part of a kitchen ceiling (reflected) I designed then machined the side profiles for the guys to assemble. There will be a chandelier suspended from the painted barrel T&G arch w/4″ LED recessed lights in each square section of wide corbels. The tight radius curves were achieved w/1/8″ expanded PVC heated up and formed by pressing in a male/female jig – then veneered over. This is the ceiling drawing with kitchen on my cover picture.

Wavy Lounge Relief

The initial renderings had a more masculine relief pattern but the clients later decided to soften the look with these waves I was able to machine on the CNC. I’ve been experimenting with new 3D software lighting effects on these that can enhance materials as well.
